How to play Globle

  1. Enter your first guess

Type any country in the input box. Globle highlights it on the globe and colours it by how close it is to the mystery country. Hot colours such as red mean you are near. Cool colours mean you are far away.

  2. Follow the colour hints

If your guess is cold, try another continent. If it is warm, stay in that region and keep guessing neighbours until the colour gets hotter. Some versions also show the distance in kilometres or miles.

  3. Find the mystery country

Keep guessing until you name the right country, in as few tries as you can. There is no guess limit. Come back tomorrow for a new country, or use practice mode to play more rounds.

What is Globle?

Globle is a free daily geography game. Each day a new country is chosen, and you try to find it by typing country names. Every guess appears on a rotating globe, coloured by how close it is to the answer.

There is no limit on guesses, so you can work at your own pace. The aim is to find the country in as few tries as you can, which is where the real challenge lives.

How Globle's colour hints work

After each guess, the country you picked is highlighted on the globe. Warm shades, like red, mean the mystery country is close. Cooler shades, like blue or purple, mean you should look elsewhere.

Use the colours to narrow down the continent first, then the region, then the exact country. If the game shows distance in kilometres or miles, that number helps you decide whether to step to a neighbour or take a longer jump.

Key features of Globle

  • Daily puzzle: one new mystery country every day.
  • Colour feedback: hotter means closer, cooler means farther.
  • Unlimited guesses: wrong guesses cost nothing.
  • Distance hints: shown in some versions, in kilometres or miles.
  • Daily and practice modes: compare with friends, or train without the daily limit.
  • Play anywhere: works in a browser on desktop and mobile, with no account.

Tips for solving Globle

  • Start broad. A very cold first guess rules out a whole part of the world.
  • Think about neighbours. If one country is warm, try the countries next to it.
  • Watch the colour scale. As it gets warmer, look at smaller countries and islands in that area.
  • Use the distance if the game shows it to choose between a neighbour and a bigger jump.
  • Want something quick after your daily country? Try Poople Unlimited for a one-letter word ladder.
